Galvanic Cells

The Galvanic Cells Concept Builder provides an abundance of practice constructing galvanic cell diagrams for redox reactions. The balanced equation for a redox reaction is given and the components of a cell diagram are provided. Learners must identify the half reactions occurring in each cell, the anode, the cathode, the direction of electron flow and the direction of ion flow through the salt bridge. There are a total of 24 questions in this Concept Builder. They are organized into 12 different Question Groups and spread across the three difficulty levels. Question-specific help is provided for each of the 12 situations. Questions in the same Question Group include identical cell components. The built-in feedback and help makes this Concept Builder a great study tool. When used with our Task Tracker program, it is a great tool for use as an in-class or out-of-class assigned task.
