Velocity Time Graphs
The Velocity Time Graphs Concept Builder is a tool that challenges the learner to identify the velocity-time graph(s) that correspond to the verbal description of a motion. The verbal descriptions included key phrases like moving with a constant velocity, speeding up, slowing down, moving in the + direction, moving in the - direction, stationary, etc. Given three or four velocity-time graphs, learners must select any that correspond to the given description. There are three levels of difficulty which are distinguished from one another by the complexity of the motions, the number of questions, and the number of choices to choose from. Question-specific help is provided for each situation. Use of this Concept Builder with our Task Tracker system allows teachers to track student progress.
Users are encouraged to open the Concept Builder and explore. There is no need for an activity sheet for this Concept Builder. However, all the questions used in the activity can be viewed on a single page. View
