Vector Addition
The Vector Addition Concept Builder is a tool that challenges the learner to use an understanding of head-to-tail vector addition in order to determine the resultant vector. Learners are given nearly 35 vectors with varying magnitude and direction and the start of a vector addition diagram; they must take the 3, 4, or 5 vectors to be added and visually arrange them head-to-tail in order to determine the resultant vector. There are three different levels of difficulty. The levels differ in terms of the number of questions and the number of vectors that must be added for each question. Question-specific help is provided. The built-in score-keeping makes this Concept Builder a perfect candidate for a classroom activity.
Users are encouraged to open the Concept Builder and explore. There is no need for an activity sheet for this Concept Builder. However, all the questions used in the activity can be viewed on a single page. View
