Skydiving
The Skydiving Interactive simulates the motion of a falling skydiver. The mass of the skydiver, the parachute size, and the initial height can be varied. Learners view the size of the two individual forces, the velocity, and the height over the course of the falling motion.
Users are encouraged to simply open the Interactive and explore. For a more-guided exploration, teachers can use our
classroom-ready activity that we have prepared. View
Activity.
Our Skydiving simulation is now available with a Concept Checker. Do the simulation. Then follow it up with the
Concept Checker.
Learners and Instructors may also be interested in viewing the accompanying
Notes page. Technical information, teaching suggestions, and related resources that complement this Interactive are provided on the Notes page. View
