Transverse Sine Wave Maker
The Transverse Sine Wave Maker simulation depicts a marker driven by an oscillating system. The marker traces a line on a sheet of butcher paper that is pulled below it. The frequency of the oscillator (and marker), the speed of the paper, and the amplitude of the marker's motion can be modified and the effects immediately observed as a change in the pattern on the sheet of paper. The objects - turntable, marker, and butcher paper - can be dragged and viewed in three dimensions.
