Electric Circuits - Mission EC7 Detailed Help

Which of the following diagrams represents resistors connected in series? List all that apply ... .

Definition of a Series Circuit:
series circuit is a circuit in which electrical devices are connected in such a manner that there is only one pathway by which charge can move through the circuit.

Series versus Parallel Connections:
The two most common methods of connecting two or more electrical devices in a circuit is by means of series and parallel connections. Series connections provide for a single pathway by which charge flows through the circuit. Parallel connections provide for more than one pathway. Parallel connections are most often recognized by the presence of branching locations. At the branching location, two or more wires branch off from a single wire and connect to different resistors. Series circuits do not have branching locations. A single charge moving through the series circuit must flow through each device in consecutive order.
